Below lies a city lost in slumber bereft of dreams, void of vision and lost in its past. There lies no future, no dawn, and no life. Conglomerates and corporate drivel rule the thoughts and stifle the growth of those with dreams of a better tomorrow, or at least of a tomorrow. Those that call the streets home are tonight huddled together is a shivering mass, lost to society and on the verge of the void of endless sleep. The uncaring dine nearby with white clothes and silver cutlery, spending enough on one meal to make a real difference for some that may not make the dawn. As the tech companies make enough per minute to give a normal person generational wealth, I find myself wondering how the balance stays and is not destroyed by those with nothing to lose. An uprising is on the horizon, either from the unwashed or from those made of components. Which overlord will you welcome, which evil will be the lesser of the many. What lies ahead is a mere test of resolve and character to the death, who survives? This city shall fall before the onslaught of what was once normalcy. It will be an idea foreign to those raised on non-conflict unagression. The thought shall never cross their conscience of being that fighting is an option. Oppression is not acceptable as a form of lordship. These souls who lie below under a chill night sky with a moon slung low over the mountain bathing then in pale light, they will never know because their dreams are dead already and they just haven't awakened yet to the new future dreamed by those they discounted as refuse and the ones they stood over and on to reach the low fruit that spoiled them to the easy life. They should learn to dream and not allow the sins of the fathers and mothers to guide them to failure.
